Apprentice

All students must provide their own transportation.

LA County cities offer a free GoPass Program for Metro bus and train access. Look for the school - 'Antelope Valley Union High School District FSI'.

Pre Apprentice Program

• This program can be added by enrolled students and is a separate program from the certification training.
• Requires enrollment in IT Certification course.
• Prepares students for entry into paid apprenticeship. Required for entry to Apprenticeship Program.
• Non paid.
• Students work at the TechCenter for work experience hours.

Apprenticeship Program

• This program is a separate program from the certification training.
• Requires Pre Apprentice Program completion
• Students are employed by employers and work on the job training for 2,000 hour (1 year - full time).
• Paid

Adult Education requires that students are 18 years of age. High School students that are 18, can enroll.

Pre Apprentice program is non-paid. You earn work experience hours.

How to get to TechCenter.

1. Head EAST on Ave S from Hwy 14.
2. Past Sierra Hwy.
3. About 1 block east of Sierra Hwy, to the right are medical clinics. The first large one is Adult Education.
4. Make right on Swan Drive, drive to end of Swan.
5. End of swan, head to smaller white building.
